Transcor Inc. is a privately held corporation owned and operated by entrepreneur Johnnie Cordell Breed.
After attending the University of Georgia and beginning her business career as a systems analyst for NCR, Mrs. Breed founded GTS, Inc. – a company she still heads today.
As the primary supplier of transportation for the United States Department of Defense, GTS became Mrs. Breed’s first major entrepreneurial success.
Continuing in this tradition, she co-founded Transcor, Inc. in 1982 which supplied transportation for the U.S. Department of Labor. GTS and Transcor were later combined and continue successful operations under the name TRANSCOR.
Mrs. Breed has received an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws from Northwestern University and an honorary Doctorate in Economics and Business Administration from Columbia College for Women, where the Johnnie Cordell Breed Women’s Leadership Center was named in her honor.
