SME Foundation for Marketing Education

The SME Foundation for Marketing Education is an independent nonprofit established by Sales & Marketing Executives International (SMEI) to champion ethical, practical, and professional standards in the fields of sales and marketing and to educate the public and business community about the value of sales and marketing in our economy.

The Foundation’s mission is to promote core values such as integrity, professionalism, and lifelong learning among individuals exploring or advancing careers in sales and marketing. Rather than operating as a degree-granting institution or aligning with the higher education sector, the Foundation focuses on early career awareness and development.

Its initiatives are designed to introduce individuals—particularly those at key career decision points—to the wide range of professional opportunities available in sales and marketing. Through resources, outreach programs, and mentorship support, the Foundation encourages informed career choices and nurtures interest in these fields.
